I went to the CVS to get some bits and pieces for the next trip.
I got some cereal bars and supplies to take on our last trip to San Francisco. We checked out of the hotel, packed up and left around 10. Off to San Francisco via Napa. The trip was uneventful and the scenery continued to be lovely but certainly less spectacular as we headed West.
We had plumbed in a Thai restaurant into the sat-nav to get us to Napa town and we miraculously arrived right at a car park bang in the centre. We had a lovely lunch, including a rather pricey Napa glass of wine - if a bit un-American portion wise - and then had a wee wander around Napa town where I also was treated to a new handbag, mine having broken finally in Bishop.
We didn't spend too long in Napa and then set off for Sausalito. We unfortunately did not see the Rumours studio - but must have passed it as we were on the right road, so we just continued on over the Golden Gate Bridge to San Francisco.
Over on the other side of the bridge we urgently needed petrol so started a hunt for a gas station in a rather busy rush hour. We eventually found one once the gauge was at zero....and then headed for the airport. It was probably the most stressful drive we had done to date - right across San Francisco in rush hour on a Friday...
Arrived at the hotel around 5 and it was in a lovely area with a wonderful view of the bay and the airport. It was right on the shore. The sunset was amazing and the hotel had a lovely outside area with gas fires and seated areas.
We headed straight to the bar for a quick drink before a rest and downloading some of our images to the computer.
We went back to the bar a bit later after freshening up and ended up spending a fortune on our last night on lovely food.
