Day eight - time to chill

At last, a pool day!

The only problem was that I didn't have any sun protection so I ventured out in search of Macy's. Only a stones throw away from the hotel, but tricky to walk to. Concord is not very pedestrian friendly that's for sure. I got there eventually having to manoeuvre myself around some road works and a helpful worker guided me to a hole in the fence. The shopping centre was massive and very up market and I found my way to Macy's where I bought some rather expensive sunscreen, still, I got a few good Clarins freebies from the very helpful assistant - service in the U S is something else!

I stopped on the way back to the hotel and picked up beer for Maurice and a Kripy Kreme for me for breakfast!

Once back at the hotel I made my way to the pool and took up a suitable spot to get some sunbathing done! The pool area was lovely, however the pool itself was freezing. There was a wee jacuzzi too which was rather nice.

Maurice finished his day and started his holiday around 3.30 and we took off to the Elephant bar for a few drinks.

We returned to the hotel and got ready for evening, and went back to the Elephant bar once again for drinks and eats.
