After a reasonably good night , I made my way to reception to get the shuttle back to the airport station.
I got the 10 o'clock shuttle and took the air train to Newark station. We had to wait a bit for the next train and I got talking to a Canadian family who were heading into the city for their first trip. I got to Penn station and printed off my Washington ticket before heading to Grand Central Terminal. I decided to walk and it took around half an hour. I got a round trip ticket to Rye and made the 12.04. Cilla was at Rye to meet me and we went back to the hotel to drop my bags. We then went to get some Pizza before heading to Amy's house to meet her and Marcie Dietz. We also met her husband too. We then took a walk around Shore Acres on a bit of a nostalgia fest. After a short rest and a change of clothes back at the hotel, we went out to meet Mary and Amy again for supper at a great wee pub called Gus's. We bumped into Jimmy Spader too which was great fun. We headed back to the hotel relatively early and were in bed before 11.
